Eggshell Mini Planters

Here's an easy way to reuse eggshells and it's package.  This is a great project to add to the summer activities for the kids, you're growing your food and producing less waste while at it.

All the kids I've worked with, mostly nieces and nephews have loved planting seeds and working with dirt.

  1. Be sure to crack the egg slightly above the middle so that you have a deeper "bowl".
  2. Poke a tiny hole at the bottom. I used a wooden toothpick.
  3. Fill with soil.
  4. Make hole in the middle of each egg.
  5. Place seed/s in the middle and cover with soil according to size.
  6. Lightly moist soil.
And that's it! You have an eggshell seedbed, how cool is that.
